When Your Studying Isn’t Working

Currently on ARGH! level 6

I just wrote a post for my other blog, where I express my frustration with a lack of progress in both my guitar practicing and Thai language studies. It’s been a struggle recently, as you will see when you (hopefully) read what’s going on.

Since I highly value the opinions of my blog readers here – as I do with my other blog – I figured I would seek out some advice here as well. I know there is a solution out there, and hopefully some of you can hip me to it.

Please have a look at what I wrote and give me some suggestions. I need to get unstuck from my current rut and keep moving forward.

And… We’re Back!

So here we are, three months into 2010, and I’m finally getting back on a regular posting schedule. In case you were wondering, I’ve spent the past few months working on another blog about guitars – Fretterverse.com. While my Thai learning is more of a labor of love, Fretterverse is both a labor of love and a labor of trying to get out of the 9-5 grind. (On a side note: if you are a guitar lover, please stop by the Fretterverse and have a look around. The more, the merrier.)

While blogging about guitars is definitely taking up the majority of my blogging time, I still do love learning (and blogging) about Thai language and culture, and I do not want to stop blogging. However, I won’t be able to do both every day, and therefore certain concessions have to be made. With that in mind, I’ve decided to cut back on the LTMS posting to once or twice a week. That will give me time to dedicate to both blogs, but it will also give me time to digest what I’m learning before just spitting it back out on the blog.
